May 11, 2011 – The Dr. Oz Show reported that according to The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, last year 5.4 million underwent Botox cosmetic procedures, making it the number one minimally invasive cosmetic procedure in America today, a staggering increase of nearly 600% in the last 10 years! With an average cost of $300-$500 per session, not everyone can afford it.

May 9, 2011 – The Doctors TV Show recently did a segment on dangerous chemicals in our food and revealed that potato chips contained dangerous amounts of the carcinogen, acrylamide. So much that by January 2012, potato chip makers must put a warning on the label, change the way they make potato chips or stop selling in California. Apr 26, 2011 – The media has been abuzz lately with a new study published in The Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) where startling new research is once again raising questions about the safety of cell phones use. Dramatic findings have shown that talking on the cell phone for about 50 minutes can increase brain activity in the area closest to your phone’s antenna. What exactly does that mean?
Two different television broadcasts whose comments from popular medical doctors produced two different points of views on the efficacy of these reports in regards to our safety of cell phone use.
Should we not worry and wait for conclusive evidence? A Today Show Report might be able to answer that.
Or should we stand on the side of caution and utilize cell phone use precaution measures as The Dr. Oz Show suggests?
Apr 26, 2011 – NBC’s Today Show recently aired a spot that called attention to the cell phone debate over the possibility that cell phone use may cause cancer.
Meredith Vieira interviewed Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, Columbia University Medical Center and author of The Emperor of All Maladies, together with Dr. Nancy Snyderman, NBC’s Chief Medical Editor.
As a result of this interview, it seems the doctors’ positions are that current evidence of a link to cancer is weak and until something conclusive comes in, put the cell phone thing to rest!

Apr 26, 2011 – The Dr. Oz Show recently did an episode on Cell Phones and the current research raising questions about the safety of cell phone usage and the risk of brain cancer. Dr. Mehmet Oz’s in his usual passionate concern for our health, showed us graphics on how certain brain areas lit up when in contact with the antenna of the cell phone, not the battery. This activity was present when the cell phone was on mute, so there was no conversation effecting the brain activity.
He had guest, Dr Audrey Halpern, MD Neurologist, help explain. Dr Halpern said that it is too early to say if cell phone use is safe or not, but the study is fascinating because it’s the first time anyone has actually demonstrated that there is a direct effect on brain activity associated from cell phone use.
