Everything that you strive for in your life is for one goal, happiness. Happiness is the goal of all other goals. What does this have to do with physical health and weight loss? When we are not happy and spiritually fulfilled, we turn to food to fill the void which leads to over weight and obesity. Many social scientists have done research on happiness and have come up with what they call the happiness formula.

Long Time Partners09-24-2012 Brian Williams of NBC’s Nightly News sadly reported an obituary in the New York Times announcing the death of the mother of Christie Brinkley at the age of 91.  The obituary said her mother’s heart never survived losing the love of her life, her husband who predeceased her by seven weeks.  Brian Williams said it’s very common after the death of a longtime spouse. Anderson: Fight Lab. Better Ways To Argue To Improve Your Relationships.

Anderson CooperBecause every couple argues at some point and with the divorce at about 50%, Anderson Cooper felt that his guest, Dr. John Gottman, co-founder of the Gottman Institute and foremost researcher on marriage, relationships and parenting, would help arm couples with ways to fight better, relate better, and interacting better.  In his 3 hour marriage counseling  sessions where Dr. Gottman observes heart rates and other physiological data while couples are talking and interacting with each other, he says he can predict with 94% accuracy whether a couple is going to stay together or not. Superman PoseDeception can be a dangerous thing.  Anderson Cooper from the  Anderson talk show,  spoke to women who told their stories of having boyfriends or husbands that lied to them while hiding very dark and violent sides.  How could these women have known that these men were lying to them? Were there any signs they could have picked up on to avoid these men and harm to themselves?  We all get lied to in different ways in our business dealings and in our personal life.  Are there any ways to protect ourselves and to identify when we are being lied to?  Anderson’s guest, Janine Driver, body language expert, who has helped train law enforcement personnel to detect when people are lying gives us some valuable clues to look for. Anderson and Paul McKennaAnderson Cooper, of the morning talk show Anderson, had guest, British world renowned hypnotist and best selling author of  “I Can Make You Thin”, Paul McKenna, Ph.D.  McKenna’s TV appearances have been viewed by hundreds of millions of viewers across 42 countries.  He works closely with rock stars and royalty and celebrities.   He says the answer to weight loss is not dieting.  Recent evidence shows that more than 70% of dieters gained more weight when they come off a diet than what they weighed before they went on it.  He feels that hypnosis can be an effective tool for weight loss because the mind is like a computer.   If you have bad eating habits like eating too much or eating food that is not good for you, hypnosis and psychological techniques can help you reprogram your mind so that you can overcome those behaviors very quickly.
